The Shire Hall office is a Tourist Information Point. We do not open enough to be regarded as a Tourist information Centre; however we are like a small town version of the larger centres. We have brochures on walks including the Howden 20, attractions such as museums, homes and gardens of interest, wildlife lookouts and attractions for families. We also have information from Howden Live, The Junction in Goole, and Hull Truck performances.
The Shire Hall office also sells postcards of the town in both colour and black and white. You can buy Minster souvenirs such as mugs, pens, pencils, tea-towels etc. The money from these goes to the relevant charities.
The Shire Hall Office window display is a good source of information for events taking place within the Shire Hall. However other notices for the town or events of interest are displayed on the notice board within the office. Please feel free to come and browse this during office opening hours or to request your notice be displayed.
