The building belongs to the town and is kept by a Trust. The Shire Hall Trust owns the building, it is not Council run although we acknowledge their support!
The Shire Hall Trust consists of representative members appointed by Organisations in Howden and a further five members to be elected at the Annual General Meeting.
The people making up The Shire Hall Trust are volunteers. As volunteers the trust may give as much or as little time as they have to the Shire Hall's on-going developments.
Any inhabitant of Howden over 18 may stand as an elected member of The Shire Hall Trust, and any Howden-based organisation may appeal to be represented within the Trust. To do this the organisation or individual should contact The Shire Hall Office.
Yes. Help and support is always appreciated on whatever level of commitment people can manage! Any help is always warmly welcomed! If you have ideas of ways to help just pop into The Shire Hall Office or call Sarah on (01430) 432510.
